So I finally started writing fanfic slowly again. gen_challenge had prompts up for a few of my fandoms. I chose to do SGA this time, because I don't know much more. Tug of War, season 4 spoilers so beware. I wrote it quickly and I have another one due in a couple days. But I did it on time. Go team me.

If you so much as disagree with something, like say he should be more transparent on his policies outside his website, you're talked to like you're five. Or that maybe I'd rather hear what he will do for the country versus what his opponent hasn't done on a debate right before my primary. I mean, seriously kids. It's not gonna kill you to allow someone to think he's not all that. I don't like him, I don't like his politics. I don't like the fact he's running for office, let alone he hasn't been in the position that long. He has no foreign diplomacy abilities. I just don't think he'd be good at it. And if another person talks down to me about it, I'm going to kick them so hard five generations back will feel it.

Somehow between Runaway Bride and "Partners in Crime," I've grown to like Donna Noble. WTF, mind? WTF? Now I need a Donna icon. God help me.

Shock and awe, I actually really like The Sarah Jane Adventures. I must, must see more of this next week. I must get some icons of the Tin Dog and Sarah Jane. Because hell yeah.

Review coming soon. Gotta do my religion's write up of it first. (Oh, like the Ori aren't religion zealots gone wrong.) But it's pretty damn good. Not OH-MY-GOD-NO-WAY!!!!! But way better than what I expected. Awesome fucking sauce. Also? VALA. Dude. It's Vala.

No freaking way!

I'm not even a part of this community, but it came up on my friendsfriends filter, and I just...boggled. How stupid can one be? Seriously? I feel bad for people if they're taking advice like this online. I mean, really. Internet's good for a lot, but perhaps they should be using something besides her birth control as a countermeasure...for anything. I'm just saying.

I have a lot of say about this, but I'll sum it up into a nice bullety list:

• No service is without a comprehensive and complicated TOS. Offline or online, you're going to find one to keep the company out of legal trouble.


• It's about good faith, and LJ has none at this point. How many times are they going to have to screw up before it comes okay to be held liable?


• You can't judge something based when one of the side-by-sides are down, such as interests. The comparison doesn't hold.


• It's a fallacy to assume everyone knows about the opt-out. I doubt I'm the only one that didn't know, either. These are not things LJ announces loudly.


• I think it's extremely obvious of the bias towards LJ. The entire post is used to try and keep fandom in one location. Unfortunately, some of us didn't leave because of fandom. And there's some clear mocking of IJ's policies while not upholding the same treatment of LJ's.


• I don't expect LJ 2.0 here. I just expect a good blogging service that's at least semi-transparent. (See: good faith comment.)

People that I had previously held in high esteem are no longer in such a high place, with their linking and passive-aggressive swipes. Of course people are only leaving LJ for fandom reasons, and nothing to do with a flawed investment.

I'm fine. Atlanta's "tornado" hit downtown and I'm about 25 minutes north of Buckhead, so I'm safe. Just in case anyone was worried. But I feel so bad for the people in town that were affected. It has gotten insane, no pun intended.

This is important.

Safe Harbor, a no-kill animal rescue in Jupiter, Florida, had a severe fire today and in response squeaky has a permanent account sale going on. I didn't have the money, but I bought one anyway. Why? Because some things in life are worth supporting. Helping animals, helping something in a positive light, is never wrong.

If you already have a permanent account, or are short on cash, the smallest amount helps. Enough dollar bills added up to a lot.

Just a quick update. I updated over at onthewall and iconicstyle. Been putting it off, but finally took the last of my midterm break and did something with it. So, go team me. I added a cap set over at Iconic, and put up a little drabble I wrote for Dirty Sexy Money over at Wall. That's all. I'll have more up soon enough. I need to do some other work, too. The DSM is the first fic I'd written in two months. Feeling kinda rusty at it. Need to do more of that after I take my Regent's on Halloween.

I'm loving my new shows. Seriously. I'm gonna be a Brothers and Sisters whore soon enough. I'm catching up, watching last season slowly while viewing this season as it happens, and man. The writing. Totally worth fangirling for that alone. And it's got a huge cast, but they're totally intertwined. I love that. It's *gasp* a drama that's well-written. I know! It's shocking.

Woohoo! I'm back. I'll have a Dragon*Con report up soon enough. I'm just so tired since I got sick from the con. Go team me! Seriously, it's just my luck. But on the plus size, I've got like an A in my dumb people algebra. Yip-pee? Okay, what else. Oh! I just bought a paid account for six months. Test this little baby out before buying a permanent account. Don't tell me LJ didn't teach me anything.

Okay, so browsing through my interests, looking for comms, I noticed that Kelley Armstrong doesn't have a comm. Which is just so wrong. Seriously. And I've noticed a couple things like that. Now, I currently have no time to run any comms, or the drive since I'm so stressed, but I think other people should open them. Damn it. Like, where the hell is the Rose Tyler gen comms? Hello? We all don't like the Rose/Doctor ship as a religious experience. Some of us just like her, period. So, I know no one is leaving LJ, like for real, but if we have double journals...where the hell is the other comms? Seriously. And I want more Army Wives fic, damn it. Now.

This is why I shouldn't be allowed to think about people when sick. I'm easily annoyed. At least there's been no bitchcakes today. I need to make and acquire more icons. I can have 250. Woooohooo! I've got all of 24 now.

Over at iconicstyle, I uploaded some Rise of the Cybermen caps. I think this deserves a couple dozen men in a harem. Seriously, I spent like 2 hours doing this crap. Getting them uploaded and schtuff. And now I'm ready to fall back asleep. I started school today. Just the one class this semester, but one class is better than none. *yawns* Now if you'll excuse me.
